Seen all the adverts promising you untold wealth should you be "lucky" enough to have an accident? Making a claim is still a legal procedure and there is far more involved than just filling in a form and then getting a cheque a few weeks later. Depending on the type of case there are many restrictions and pitfalls to making a claim. The key is to get a solicitor that has experience in your type of claim, that way they can advise you of everything you need to know prior to even starting a case. The following case types are the most common and finding a solicitor experienced in such cases should be simple enough: Can I Claim? Many people come to this site with their minds already made up about making a claim and are just looking for the dotted line to sign. With most claims being run on a no win, no fee basis you shouldn't have any problems finding someone to "have a go" for you. A word of warning though, if you are contacting several firms and you feel that any solicitor you speak is in the frame of mind that they are willing to just "have a go", then you may want to look elsewhere for help. The emphasis should not be on finding the solicitor that offers you cash-back deals or who promises you the most money, it should be on finding someone who seems to understand what your case entails and who has a good chance of winning. You only get one shot at it ... but then again, you can always sue the solicitor if they screw up too ...*
